I know naming and shaming isnt allowed I get that but recently Ive noticed people name dropping on threads.

is this ok as I always thought was a no no?

not looking for an argument just curious

If it isn't malicious then it isn't normally a problem. However if the person doesn't want their name mentioned even if it isn't malicious they can report it or let a mod know and it will be taken off.

Naming and shaming is against site rules as far as I'm aware there is nothing wrong with mentioning someone else's name on a post but its not clear in which way you mean
