On our TV, once you've downloaded the Panasonic app to your phone, you can just swipe content to the TV from the phone...videos/photos/YouTube etc.

There is a smart box thingy available on Amazon that allows you to put the Internet on your TV. I've had one for months and it works very well. I paid £100 for mine but they are available for half that now.

Does anyone know if its possible to connect my ps4 to my laptop through the WiFi so I don't have to keep swapping HDMI cables?

I only just bought a new TV and constant swapping on my old TV ruined the ports and made me have to get a new one

From your laptop, yes, if you use Chrome with a Chromecast extension. Not via your phone as it's not a compatible app yet.

Easiest solution that I used for ages before recently upgrading to a Smart TV was: buy a HDMI to micro-USB adapter on eBay for about a fiver. The adapter usually requires its own power (don't know why!) which I sorted by plugging it into a spare USB socket on the back of the telly. Was great for BT Sport, YouTube etc..

I know there are higher tech solutions without wires, but this was cheap as chips

Obviously only works for phones with micro-USB connnectors, I don't know if there's an iPhone equivalent. If so it probably costs 5 times as much

Should be easy. I used to do it with ps3, so ps4 should be possible, and no doubt better. Look at your homenetwork on PC, and allow the ps4 into it. Probably a step by step guide hidden away on the ps4.

Yes but I didn't want loads of cables trailing, its bad enough that I've got router, sky box, ps4, blue ray and TV all connected up with wires in and out without trailing more!!

Get rid of the blueray player as the ps4 has already got one so you have freed up a port or get an hdmi multi switch
