A near miss....

North Yorkshire

After getting hopelessly lost today in the snow on the North Yorshire Moors, we finally made it to a main road... after a few moments we realised that every car we were passing coming the other way was flashing us. It was at this moment we discovered we were on a dual carriageway, on the wrong side! You have never heard 2 grown men scream so loud.

Anyone else ever had a near miss like that?

Yea, I got up at 3am after 3hrs sleep, flew to Marseilles, hired a car, was on the dance floor in Aix en Provence by 9.30, did 5 hrs of lindy hop classes, 5 hrs of social dancing, then met another car on the way home to the hotel. ..... as I was driving the wrong way round a roundabout!!!

They yelled and swore but I just laughed and said 'sorry I'm English and very very tired!''

semi hallucinated once when heading back to base after a weeks exercise..

was totally on my chin strap but there was a do on in the mess and the nurses from the military hospital were invited..

thought i saw a man wearing black on the side of the road who wasn't there in my mirror as i passed 'him'..

pulled into the next 'rastplatze' and crashed out..

really frightened me..

After moving back to the Midlands after 6 years up north ...I went past west Brom .....when the f#(k did they make the ring road two way ......

Happened late night in a people carrier with 7 of us in the US. Lad in the front from north yorkshire sad very calmly to the driver "you're on't wrong side of road son" at which point we all screamed!

west brom isn't west brom anymore and can't say it's an improvement either
