"I wonder if swingers stand any chance of passing Developed Vetting." Developed Vetting? What's that? When I went through vetting it was NV and PV... Thats negative as in what they know against you in the way of criminal, financial and unacceptable political activity.... And Positive, as in fill in a big questionnaire, and then wait about 3 months while they check out your answers, then be interviewed by Mr Smith and Mr Jones and wait another month or 2 to hear if you pass... Then go through it all over again 18 mths later because PV only lasts 2 years or till change of duties (whichever comes first). Funny thing is every time I went through vetting interviews it was Mr Smith and Mr Jones came to interview me and they were always different people... Guess that in the 70's and 80's military vetting must have employed a lot of Smiths and Jones!

"could you do the online MI5 test? I cant as I have tattoos but could be fun?" I have done it, got through the selection process and onto the testing section. The number of recruits in the halls was immense. And the tests were straight out of star trek - and I am sure I was getting followed for a year afterward.

"Developed Vetting (DV) is the most detailed and comprehensive form of UK vetting. It is required for sensitive jobs and tasks, which involve long-term, frequent or uncontrolled access to SECRET material. The vetting process for DV clearance includes: - SC clearnace - Completion of a DV supplementary questionnaire by the candidate - Completion of a financial questionnaire by the candidate - A review of the candidate's personal finances; - Interviews with a candidate's referees conducted by a vetting officer; - A detailed interview with a candidate conducted by a vetting officer." I had to have FBI and CIA clearance when I was butler for Henry Kissinger

What you describe sounds a bit like PV although in my day all vetting interviews were carried out by 2 men (Mr Smith and Mr Jones) and you only needed NV to have access up to Secret classification. By the way I was cleared to handle, transport and escort up to TSUKEONNI equipment and related documents too and from secure locations.

"I've been told to apply for a place in the Inteligence Officer Development Programme, there was only 4 questions though? Can somebody put a link to the one(s) they're doing?" If you fancy working at GCHQ or doing cryptography start doing the broadsheet crossword competitions, and watching for cryptic job adverts. I expect that the security services still use that method for talent spotting.

I don't want a job, i just wanted to play a puzzle game but went to the official .gov site and did their test and now they're trying to make me work for them. There was only 4 questions, so that's why i know i didn't do the test mentioned here (obviously i didn't know i was doing the wrong test until it finished after 4 questions). Ok, so finding the actual game is part of the puzzle now...
