"Is this items I can still wear or just the oldest I have that I have worn.. If so I still have a white cotton embrodered dress my Mum made for me to wear to her 2nd marriage I was 12. If I am honest I have somethings from every decade since then. My loft is groaning." Oh, good point. I have both my bridesmaids dresses from when I was very young.

"Getting ready to face the potentially freezing weather in Northern Ireland next week I went digging around for my big jumpers. I found one a friend made me nearly 35 years ago. It still fits, albeit not as a loose baggy jumper anymore. What's your oldest item of clothing? " Bring the warmest woollies you have... Temperatures are set to plummet over here from tomorrow.... And safe travelling x

"I've got a pair of black leather gloves that cost me £6 from Beatties in Dudley way way back in 1975. My old man said "You've paid how much for a pair of gloves?" I was only earning about £12 a week then as a second year engineering apprentice " Buy cheap buy twice.

"Some jeans that are 18 years old now, they cost me £50 so i'm never throwing them away. My mum has undies that are easily 40 years old and getting close to 50 years, nothing wrong with them either, except the colours not so great from fading in the wash. Dunno why she hasn't replaced them but surely she should get a environmental award of something for not throwing them out by now." 50 year old undies That must be a first.

"My daughter is wearing a pair of my Brutus jeans circa 1975 which my mother found in the loft...." I like that. My nephew is wearing his parents old (vintage, darling, vintage) clothes now.
