Brrrr its cold

its so fricking cold in my house! Water main has burst nearby so there is no water pressure so the boiler wont work

So right now i have a quilt and huge blanket on me! Hoody and fingerless gloves on so i can still type and a cup of tea!! Hope it comes back on before the temp drops anymore

loverly and warm here as well and ive been out in cold down to shed and lit the woodburner and that was loverly and toasty when going in for a warm up after cleaning pathways of snow and ice

And guess which dickhead isolated the wrong switch so i could open the box and see whats wrong and touched a live wire!!

Warmer now but definitely not feeling good!

expensive way to warm up perhaps but desperate times and all that.. wrap up in a duvet and blast warm air from a hair dryer under the duvet to create a toasty warm 'bubble'

id be in a total panic if i had no heating or hot water

Ask friends if they have a portable electric heater.to see you through tonight. You just need to take the nip out of the air so that you feel the warmth of your layers.

Not having a shower or bath is the bigger problem for tomorrow so inform the landlord that you will have no choice but to get it fixed and the bill will be heading their way.

.Burst water pipes don't make boilers not work for heating, you won't get hot water if it's a combi but your heating should work fine.
