Calling all soldiers "Heroes"

They're not. I was one and can assure you I was not a hero.

A hero is someone who chooses to do something they are afraid of doing. By the time most soldiers are afraid, they have lost all choice. Some are heroes.

Overusing the word cheapens it's meaning.
