Yes! They don't exist. It was a social experiment set up by a journalist

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

They are on here, with at least three profiles and others that claim to be from various departments.

I have carried out some research for them but I needed a larger sample size for conclusive results.

Similar disclaimers do the rounds on Facebook on a regular basis. I guess the experiment was to see how many people take everything they see at face value, without bothering to check for themselves. I've heard the term "sheeple", seems to fit a lot of social media users.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I have a fake faux disclaimer.

I can understand why people do it though.

Because they don't have anything to lose really by using the disclaimer and potentially have a lot to lose (without understanding by looking into it further) by not using it.

Modern life expects us to be SO aware of so many things, to be worried about so much (health, environment, parenting, safety, law, etc) nowadays. And the admin we all have to do is ridiculous.

Washing machines and hovers were invented as labour saving devices. People marvelled at them and worried what us people in the future would do with so much free time.

No one dreamt the answer would be "paperwork".

Funny

This sort of thing is dangerous inherently though as putting things on your profile because everyone else does is how ideas are disseminated. The faux disclaimer is harmless, however other things are not always so. The fact that people tag a piece of pointless pseudo legal babble due to an unknown and faceless terror is worrying. As you said sheeple

what annoys me is people that, those that use it often have nothing on their profile of interest to anyone ..why they think anyone would be interested anything they had written is completely beyond my comprehension

Elaborate yes. A hoax nonetheless.

Just like Facebook do weird subliminal stuff to gauge it's users psyche.

Nothing is necessarily as it seems on the internet
