Thanks for the responce on first one.

They say this people are unemplyable.

Lets think about that??

I,ve had military service exp, as a youngster been in care homes, and would like to think can look after myself ( fisty cuffs)

Yet with all that I KNOW I would not be tough enough to sleep rough.

Any one from that background and survives shows a depth of fortitude and courage which should be valued by employers and not dissmissed.

I'd venture that it really depends on the work you're doing.

For instance I write for magazines, what's valued by my employers is the ability to turn in copy of the right length on time without too many mistakes.

When I was working in logistics, it was valuable for people to be able to work quickly and efficiently without making mistakes.

When I was a lifeguard, swimming was a good skill.

None of those jobs required fortitude or courage. They might be an nice added extra for a chat in the staffroom, but as long as people got on with what they were paid for...
