I don't want to buy or sell shares. I just want to know if there are seasonal trends.

Ignoring all the variables which will affect share prices, and whether the market is in a recession/economic boom, are there times of the year when it's more favourable to sell?

A couple of old adages, December is normally a good month to buy, and sell in May, go away!

But the reality is it depends on what is going on. To quote Buffett:

"be greedy when others are fearful, and fearful when others are greedy".
