How do you politely tell someone that they have a personal hygiene issue? I've got this mate, he's a good lad but he smells. He's apparently been humming for months but I only noticed it in the gym last night and I wanted to barf. I just want to help him out,he's single and no one wants a smelly dude. Plus I don't want to heave every time I deadlift. Anyone got any tips or ideas for approaching this sensitive issue? Thanks in advance.

Sometimes you just have to be honest in the nicest way possible. It's a tough one though. Good luck.

Ask him if he's changed his deodorant .Then before he can answer say as you thought you better let him know the new ones not working well and didn't want him having problems due to it.

My close friends I would say "You're chucking up a bit,has your water been cut off?". Thankfully my friends are not afraid of soap, water and deodorant

Don't do jokey!!!! Be honest and upfront. Tough one to broach, but it is for his benefit more than yours, he should be initially embarrassed but maybe has an underlying issue and would love to talk about it..... Who knows?!?!??!

Ok, I'll try upfront and honest instead then. Like you say it's for his benefit more than mine, although I don't want anyone thinking it's me. Just gotta think up how I'm gonna break it to him now. Thanks again.
