lucid dreaming

Anyone dream that lucidly that they wake up harbouring the same emotions as they had in the dream just as deeply?

It's just taken me half an hour to calm myself from a deep seated anger...

I rarely remember my dreams...before this was months ago and I woke up crying floods.....

It's rare it happens with me and luckily I seem to be able to talk myself into chilling out relatively fast.....

It's usually the ones where for some reason I'm crying and then I wake up crying not knowing why.

Central

I've done a lot of lucid dreaming, having practiced as a teen. I do sometimes forget and carry the details into full life, as if real. I'd even put bets on some of it being fact, I've been so sure at times.

I have this happen a lot. Wake up hearts pounding, feels like the emotion is real and intense. I normally have to go back to sleep to shake it off, it's horrid

YES often wake up crying or shaking very upsetting.

My dreams can be vivid generally involve family and my Mum or people I care about. think it is probably the medication i take . The distress will last a while after i wake.

Hereabouts

Used to happen a lot when I was at school. It was weird because I was studying drama for GCSE. One of the groups in my class chose '4.48 psychosis' as their play. I never really thought about what 4.48 meant, I assumed it was four point four eight. Turns out its a time. The time that I had been waking up at every morning for about 3 years. Always waking up shaking or crying.

There's just a bit of my brain that holds on to the fact it was a dream......just...

Mine when I do remember them they seem to feature those I love...makes them that much scarier.

I don't take any meds....not even paracetamol has passed my lips in some time so it's squarely my brain being weird I feel lol

I do have dreams I've remembered for ever, just the attatched emotion tends to ebb away leaving only the memory of the dream

Yes, I've been feeling down all day 'cos of a dream I had this morning, though it was based around a real concern.

Usually means an issue needs resolving.

I dreamt of my mother every night for months.

The moment I decided to fly out to Ireland and visit her grave the dreams stopped.

Oh haha.

I suppose I could have phrased that better.

For me it was the need to go home and face the reality.

My dreams tend to have themes. For a while I dreamed about family and close friends who had died before their time. I dream about houses with unusual staircases and rooms off of rooms. I used to dream in vivid colours about my childhood and the area I lived in. Nothing bad would happen but I still feel upset when I remember them now

I very rarely remember my dreams. I fell asleep on the sofa and must have dreamt I woke to best friend sat on the sofa. Was a bit disorientating when I woke up and she wasn't there
