They are using a different recipe in chocolate, thought Kraft would do it sooner or later

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

I found one in the shops today, was so excited, took one bite and threw the rest in the bin.

Not good, and the fondant in the middle has been messed with too

Kraft promised they wouldn't be changing the chocolate, everyone knew it wouldn't last

Is this in anyway related to the Creme Egg thread of a couple of days ago?

Maybe they've got wind of the suggested alternative 'filling'

And they are also changing the contents to 5 instead of 6 in a box...same price!!

Disgrace...I love my crème eggs!!

What do you expect from typical yanks though!

No but they are liable to sell more if the alternative filling is used

What do you expect from a company that makes 4 flavours of spray-on cheese?

I kid you not - spray-on cheese. My friends brought some over and it's truly repulsive.

Also, the Creme Egg 6-pack is now a 5-pack for the same price

There was a big campaign to stop them buying cadburys but it went though, accounts and other departments have already gone, guess what goes next

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I heard it on the PM show. I don't like Creme Eggs but to make it from gritty American chocolate is just wrong.

Will they change the recipe to Dairy Milk next?

"

Now that is just plain ridiculous

There was a very simple reason why they were sold as six.

It's because they're Eggs.

And you can buy a half-dozen carton of eggs.

I can just picture them at Tesco's now taking one egg out of every box of Free-Range.

Mind you, there's one thing to be said for consumer power. We need to vote with our feet. If we refuse to buy the 5 pack and refuse to buy the new recipe - they'll have to revert back to what we're used to.

Wouldn't be the first time either.

Oooh, you should see the response this news is getting on the official Creme Egg Facebook page.

Judging by the reaction - including from the likes of Amanda Holden - doesn't look like many Creme Eggs are going to be sold this year.

We need to boycott Cadburys. Wouldn't dream of buying any American chocolate. It's just awful. The favourites we all grew up with are slowly vanishing.
