"Are you looking from reading-based media, or cinematic? " Looking for* Curse thy auto correct. I'm very, very clued up on the cinematic aspect but less so about the comic side. Been recommended some good series, but yeah!

"Mark Millar's "Ultimates" series was clearly a big influence on the recent Marvel movies in style and storyline: it covers similar (but materially different) themes leading to the formation of Nick Fury' s team of super soldiers, and indeed introduced the idea of Fury looking just like Samuel L Jackson! Some very adult themes covered also (domestic abuse for instance) very cleverly.." Definitely the place to start if you enjoyed the movie, there are several other books in the ultimate line which tie in and are great reads, plus there is far less history involved so.they are easy to get in to. As for the marvel universe version check out the avengers runs by Brian Michael bendis and the current writer Jonathan hickman, both of which are superb. If you want to try any other books or characters just inbox us and we'll point you in the right direction. Shame you don't live nearer - our house is like a bloody library lol!

"Great movie! If you like Josh Weddon, seek out Firelfy boxset. Simply a beautiful piece of work. You'll thank me for it, I promise. " Very very true. And the movie serenity too. It can be daunting starting catching up on comics as there are decades of material to look at. However there tend to be offshoot series that you can look at and also graphic novel sets which will tell a full story and can often stand alone. If you get stuck on characters there is also a marvel database online that will tell you everything about a character or group.

"We saw this for the first time last night and loved it. Josh Weddon directed which I think explains a lot as I love his work and the casting also seemed very clever. Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner are particularly delicious to look at too! Lol I have read/watched various Marvel Superhero related things before but now find myself with a desire to delve into the comics with proper purpose. Can any fans point me to a good place/ point to start?! The sheer number of material is rather overwhelming! Tig" Send me your email addy by private message and i will send you some info.

"Vin Diesel plays Vision in the next movie and Ant Man is being released so these characters will join up sooner or later. I did read somewhere that the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy team up to finish of Thanos who is both their enemies." Pretty sure this will happen during the infinity war films scheduled for release in 2018 and 2019

"Used to read the Brit releases of the Avengers comics as a kid; only criticism of film is it amalgamates a series of stories and characters, some of whom were not Avengers at same time. It's artistic licence for hollywood, like rhino being a man in a mechanical suit " Yes but that was Sony, they have little concern for the comic 'canon' and simply want to stick something on the screen. That's why I'm really concerned for the sinister six film

Its kind of shorthand for what's happened over the course of avengers history, the line up will change over the next rotation with the events of avengers aou, cap civil war, antman, guardians 2, black panther all building to infinity wars. Well see new avengers and old ones leave the team

"As per the cinematic stuff, this is the release order and which I believe to be the best order to watch them, should you be worried about it: Iron Man The Incredible Hulk Iron Man 2 Thor Captain America: The First Avenger Avengers: Assemble Iron Man 3 Thor: The Dark World Captain America: The Winter Soldier Guardians of the Galaxy Upcoming... Avengers: Age of Ultron Ant Man Captain America: Civil War Doctor Strange Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Thor: Ragnarok Black Panther Avengers: Infinity War (Part 1) Captain Marvel Inhumane Avengers: Infinity War (Part 2) Also, as for TV shows: Agents of SHIELD (Season 1: Intertwines from before Thor 2, to after The Winter Soldier) (Season 2: Post Guardians) Agent Carter (Ongoing, between part 1 and 2 of SHIELD season 2) And upcoming Netflix mini-series: Daredevil AKA Jessica Jones Luke Cage Iron Fist The Defenders There's also some short stories called one shots dotted about the timeliness. So yeah... Big task for ya!" Thanks for definitive list Its a shame they're doing antman after aou and not using the film to build ultrons origin from that

" Thanks for definitive list Its a shame they're doing antman after aou and not using the film to build ultrons origin from that" Just apologise for the formatting. Although this universe doesn't completely stick to the comics (that's a good thing, to be fair) - I don't think Ultron's origins will be a hindrance to the story. In the cinematic Universe, it completely makes sense for Stark (and partly Banner) to create Ultron. Having an unknown entity such as Pym introduced and explained for this story would be a major, major job. HOWEVER, that's not to say that Ant Man isn't related in some way. Stark is thought to be resurrecting an old peacekeeping program & its possible Pym was involved in that? We don't know yet, however. Besides, Agent Carter and the second part of SHIELD will expand on this story a little, so we shan't be going in blind-eyed, I think

Thus pulling pym into the world rather than the other way... That kind of makes sense

"The Avengers will need some of its orginal comic stars like Antman and the Wasp to appeal to its orginal comics audience but the first film was great to say the least. Will the Scarlet Witch be introduced with vision ? " Yep, Scarlet Witch is in Age of Ultron. She's the brunette on her knees screaming, in the trailer. ...promise I'm not watching the wrong kind of trailers! @Please But yeah, to be honest I pick it up from others who've recommended it to me.
