I recently joined so I can get updates of what's happening in our town, events, news, special offers etc. So far found it really useful.

I have found myself following some funny posters @galacticKevinKeegan and @CrayolaFacedWankers

Anyone else on there and who do you follow?

I'm on there. I started using it when the Olympics were on. Have to use it for work now too. I follow a few road cyclists , Stephen Fry, Sarah Millican, Ian Rankin, a few singers - some are very funny!

I use twitter and follow a number of news channels, rygbi players, athletes, a few actors and tv programmes, beauty pages, charities, local things that interest me. I like it, it's quick and easy and tweets can only be 140 characters max.

Lot less invasive than facebook and much more fun if you follow the right accounts

I'm on twitter, our local airport was closed and the reasons behind it are a bit controversial, any way I joined as it was a way to get our local supporters campaign word out there!

I also follow local things too.

I do the social media for work so do twitter for that, following relevant companies and individuals.

I also have a personal twitter account, mostly music based, find out about gigs, new bands etc. I tend to avoid politics and keep it light-hearted. Twitter for me is just for fun.
