went to the rugger this afternoon and was surprised to see a woman touch judge.

Now i know in this day of gender equality etc it shouldnt be a surprise that women can be touch judges but the fact is in all the years i have been going to the mighty sixways to watch Worcester i have only ever seen one....this one.

Why do you think there are so few female officials in sport?

Angus & Findhorn

the 'boys club' probably, it holds back some females reaching the top in Industry so I would imagine it may be the same in sport.

Because men hate it. Remember the female football ref and all the stick she got?

I don't think there is one particular reason, I think it's many factors, I see no reason why a woman should not be an official in any sport, as long as they are competent at their job people should concentrate on playing the game rather than if the person running the line has got tits or not
