Ladies (men if you must) i want someone else's perspective.

NYE we were out down our local with Mr WD40's daughter (fully grown) a couple of her mates & a friend of mine. My friend swings & knows that we do but it's not known by the rest of the group.

Anyway we got past midnight & we have all kissed Happy NY etc & time passes & we're having a laugh and a couple of the younger girls & the young (24) lad have had a snog between themselves when Mr WD40 asks one of the young girls for a kiss and leans in tongues all set to go! I gave him a swift tap on the arm and a wag of the finger and we laughed it off, we'd all had a drink.

Anyhow it's really annoying me purely because it wasn't a swinging event with likeminded people, it was a family night out. I feel quite disrespected, i've mentioned it to my other half who doesn't remember it at all........

I'm leaning towards forgetting it now we've discussed it. Just wondered did i over react? What would you all have done?

It was 10 days ago and he maybe had a little too much to drink and forgot himself. Tell him not to do it again and forget it.

You still feel disrespected so I would say further discussion is needed. Drink is the reason many a poor judgement is made though.

It might be worth.considering why you still feel disrespected.

Tell him he's no longer allowed to drink more than two drinks when out,you're extremely upset and only a week somewhere nice will erase the memory

I'd have been pissed off. If you've told him how you feel and not to do it again then it's probably ok to just forget about it, but I'd make sure he does know how you feel about it.

Again, the lovely couple speak sense.

My worry would be if you just brush it aside while feeling like this, it may well fester and become something bigger than it actually is. Explore why you felt like that, maybe some solo reflection time, and then discuss with mister

BIG no go!!!

You are right to let it go now, the alcohol making him lose his normal judgement and so on.

But it is a big no-go because it ought to be compared with him being in a position of trust. Being the generation of the son's parent(s) he has to see himself in more of an educational role; banter, dancing and laughter included. Kisses with tongue WELL excluded!!!

It's a big no from me.

I think my big issue was the vanilla company. I have no trust issues & had we been at a fab party Id have smiled indulgently.

I've said my piece & it's history. I don't do giving rules out about alcohol consumption as we are both adults
