So it's a 2hr drive back and I got to thinking...eek

Disclaimer...Ok so I have a Mech Eng degree and not maths so the stuff below, whilst being definitely bollocks, may be mathematically incorrect too....

Right..... What are the odds of finding compatible filth-mongers.

Assuming that your profile preferences are set and you tick the box that says "must match your settings".....how many profiles do you need to view before hitting a compatible match?

Here goes

Assuming that if anyone says NO then it's no meet. I.e you need a full set of yeses

Option 1 two couples swapping

Odds are 24:1...not brill

(Four Factorial...4!)

I.e you need to view 24 profiles before, statistically, matching and it's game on...I never view more than the first few... Clearly THATS why we haven't met a couple lol...

option 2 one person takes a hit for the team and plays even if they aren't attracted OR a standard threesome

Odds are 6:1.... Not bad (3!)

Option 3 two couples but one of the sexes are Bi and want to play together as well as swap

Odds are 720:1.... Better than the Lottery

(6!)

Option 4 both couples are Bi and want to play and swap

Odds are 40320:1..... Good luck with that

(8!)

Erm or summat

/geek

There will be a test later

Big cocks and single Bi FEMA reduce the odds of course

I fuckin knew that degree would come in handy

I'm sure you got your equations wrong some where along the line, the answers may be right the percentages/fractions don't look right to me

Could be...

It's Factorials

So if 3 people all need to say YES then there are 3 Factorial permutations with only one YES YES YES

I.e

3 sum permutations = 3 x 2 x1= 6 : 1

This is deffo correct for odds IIRC

There are other factors of course lol

Ps I'm watching Benidorm tbh

You are wrong to think of factorials, OP. They are used for working out combinations and permutations: for example, four things can be arranged in 24 different ways (4!)

If for your first example you are assuming that it is a 50/50 chance that one member of the two couples meeting will say yes, then the odds of all four saying yes are 1 in 16 (i.e., 1 in 2 to the power of four)
