along the lines of the smart tv thread

we have got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for xmas and it is a handy gadget bigger than our kindle we thought would be perfect

but when you try broadcast webcam here or on other sites its says your plug in dont work

you can cam on skype , and veiw cams on here but even though you have dowloaded flashplayer etc it wont work

does anybody else have Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and managed to sort this prob out ?

im thinking hat i would never get another poxy tab again , will try for a small lappy with windows on it

these things are fantastic , but like a rolls royce with no petrol

If I understand correctly at the moment tablets and I pads use different flash drives to the usual ones used by laptops and pc's. It's the same with mobile phones. However the site is constantly introducing tweaks so you may find hopefully sooner rather than later your device will allow you to cam.

Website cams on tablets and iOS is always difficult.

Flash can run on some tablets, but can be tricky to get it to work and even then may not support the cam.

Apps like Skype have direct access to cam without the need for plugins.

Improved web technology to allow more sites to use tablet cameras is around, but complex in terms of time and effort for websites to get it to work. (WebRTC for the geeks).

In short for webcam broadcasters, a PC with a USB webcam is still the way to go.
