"Had a bad day today! First I was driving to an interview and some idiot decided to try and over take a lordy on a corner causing me to slam on a swerve narrowly missing them. Then my car decided I will flash the engine warning light at the driver and cause either the crank shaft to break or to stop working. I then managed to get it going again which caused me to be 20 mins late for an interview.. Then having to drive home at the speed of 25mph because I forgot to put my breakdown cover in the car like an idiot. I get home and get hit with the fact my car may cost £350 to fix and I only bought it 2 days ago for £680... I need a beer " Rotten luck.... Hope you get the job. Chin up xx

"Just been garage and had my car checked over.. I'm looking at £500 to repair the stupid thing! Only had it 2 days! Timing belt has gone, spark plugs covered in oil, fuel injection thinks there is fuel in the engine when there isn't, and a few other things.. Then my vivarium decided to blow a bulb so dragons are annoyed with me as had to let them freeze why I found another one! My passport arrived today tho! So that's good! " Looking at how your week is going, I'd check it's not Abu Hamza's passport, arrived by clerical error as you may have an interesting time going through security....

" Don't forget, if you don't use them already, you can use normal household bulbs as reptile heat bulbs, I get mine from our local £ shop unless of course you mean ceramics, if so then ignore me

"I can honestly say I've had better days!! Mechanic is stripping engine for me to find the problem and price up a repair. Hopefully not to much. My Nissan Micra MK1, was a gem! Got me to Manchester and back 5 times! Shame it died on me. Could have repair it for 300 but decided to sell it. " How much is the stripdown going to cost you? Personally, I've never trusted garages - always do my own maintenance and repair work. My car blew the rear axle just before christmas - which wasn't great timing, so i've got to pull it to pieces to find out what bits I need to buy. Been given the use of another car, so I can take my time sorting it, so when the weather improves, rather than just repair it, i'm going to strip it down and give it a complete overhaul - It's been on there 19 years, I reckon it deserves it. Might even upgrade it to limited slip diff. There are a few other little jobs that I want to do on it too. Nothing major, but trying to get them done whilst still using it every day would have been a bit of a pain. Hope you get the job though fella. You did have a pretty good excuse for being late, and i'm sure the employer will recognise that there are some things that are just beyond our control. As Tina has mentioned, did you buy the car privately or from a dealer. The fault that has occurred is something that will have been building up over time - if it's a snapped cam belt, then that's something that will have been getting worse and worse until it finally goes. Certain vehicles you should always check for these things - no matter how old. Did it have any service history?
