For the last 3 years I've had smear tests. And 2 of them came back as abnormal mild changes to the cells.

Today I get the results of the smear I did in December and it's come back borderline changes.

So again I'm very upset and got to go for another colopscopy(sp) I've been reading that it can go from borderline cells into cancerous cells between the results of the smear to the colopscopy, so yeah...quite scared.

Sorry for the "feel sorry for me post" as that was not intended just needed to get it off my chest.

Think its put me off meeting in the future.

My step mum has the same thing, don't worry about it. You'll be ok. And if there's anything wrong it'll get sorted x

You are allowed a "feel sorry for myself" post at times like this.

What is happening must be very worrying for you and I know it's easy for others to say but you must try not to read too much into the results. Abnormal cells doesn't necessarily mean the big C.

Take each day as it comes, try to relax and soak up as much love and support you can get your hands on.

Sending you hugs x

From my very first smear at 18 I had to have an operation. Since I never really had more than a years gap between them.

I've a had to have a colposcopy pretty much every 6 months for 12 years now + operations. I can understand your worry. But they will monitor carefully.

You have every right to feel scared though. Hope everything thing does well for you.x

Be positive, looks like your on top of it and, if anything progresses, it'll be resolved before it becomes an issue, my understanding is the prognosis with early detection is extremely good, I'll keep em crossed for you
