If your not a friend of his and/or a Psychriatric Doctor then what you say is just an un educated guess.

I think the young lad will leave him then steven will probably commit suicide, that's my guess. In the pictures of them yesterday the young lad looked scared, he didn't look happy.

He is only after his money and because he is famous, hes 30 years younger than him.

He didnt look scared, he looked like someone who had his PIC taken and wasn't prepared. Do you look posed for a photo 24/7. Have you ever seen how many papped pics get rejected just to get the one where the sleb has there eyes half closed to make them look pissed? The camera often lies. Especially when its a newspaper photographer taking the pic.

Sadly, I agree but hope we're proven wrong"

I think that's a bit arse about face. He WAS "losing it", hence the suicidal thoughts. He's feeling much happier, balanced and settled, hence the engagement.

Try speaking TOO people and not AT them, and you find out lots of things. Reading profiles helps to.

Sir Elton John and David Furnish are now husband and husband.

The two married Sunday in Britain, where same-sex marriage became legal earlier this year.

They had a civil partnership ceremony in 2005, after 12 years together. See it can work David is younger then Elton and now look two children too ......... so I have hope ... god he may have kids one day too be so good...

While I'm pleased that these two have found some happiness together I'm not sure any of us are qualified to comment on their suitability as parents.

Anyone know or will comment on whether opposite gender people are yet able to have a legal "civil partnership" yet?

Or is it another case of inequal equalities?

I think we're being a bit unfair to Hilda with all this living in the 19th Century/1950's stuff.

Everyone knows she's living in a 1970's Jonny Speight sitcom.

At least that is a good defence against her massive ignorance about bipolar disorder.

Are those children legally adopted? I thought one of them was the natural father? They paid the surrogate to carry their children and she gave up residency of the children to the father? I may be completely wrong but that just seemed the logial thing??

Actually, i rather think Hilda is living in the 21st Century, one where she is "marked down" for merely having and expressing a different _iew to the modern masses.

Vive le difference as the French would hitherto say.

your whole post is unfair to Hilda. You may not agree with what she says but she has a right to say it and for any response to be directed to her not at her.

The nature of Mr Fry's bipolar disorder is that he suffers severe depression and it comes and goes in cycles.

It can be severe enough to warrant suicide attempts at the bottom of the cycle.

At the top of the cycle it leads to periods of prodigious creativity and output.

Suffering from this is not Mr Fry's fault. He can't help it anymore than someone suffering from malaria or ms. These can all be recurring illnesses. Would you suggest someone doesn't marry just because their partner has a recurring illness such as malaria or ms, which can come and go? In sickness and in health was what I thought, hence 70's sitcoms springing to my mind.

It is no reason to suggest it is a mistake to marry. In fact if anything it is a demonstration of greater love and commitment. Having a loving caring full time companion around can only be a good thing for managing Stephen's condition.

Bipolar disorder to the sort of severity that Mr Fry suffers should not be considered as just someone 'losing it'. Hilda is aware that he has attempted suicide and has had other problems. So that is ignorance in my book.

She has a right to her _iews. I'll remind you of them.

‘well I and quite a few others think it wont last.

I think steven fry is losing it, he tried to commit suicide not long ago and its affecting his judgement.

I know, but I am usualy right about these things.

A year at the most.

I think the young lad will leave him then steven will probably commit suicide, that's my guess. In the pictures of them yesterday the young lad looked scared, he didn't look happy.

He is only after his money and because he is famous, hes 30 years younger than him.

I know and he also has mental health problems.’

You don't think someone who looks at a few pictures and some sketchy knowledge of someones past history combined with some massively out of date understanding of mental health is worthy of appearing as a character in Till Death Us Do Part, sagely agreeing in the corner with the great opinionated ignoramous Alf Garnett?

I was actually being quite light hearted with the comment, but really to suggest he is marrying because he is mental and just wants sex, that the young man is only after his money and will leave him within a year at which point, AS A RESULT Mr Fry will get so depressed he will kill himself is pretty disgusting, and it is certainly ignorant of the condition at best.

Personally I reckon he agreed to marry after some thought and not just during a bout of depression but when he was healthy in mind too and both gentlemen have gone into it with a lot of thought and their eyes open.

Yes thanks for that lesson on bi polar or manic depression as it used to be known, I actualy knew all that before having read about steven fry and the late spike milligan whom I used to like a lot. I think it would be hard not to know about it seeing as so many people appear to be suffering from it these days. I didn't actualy say he was getting married just for sex did i.
