do we buy so much excess food for xmas - we thought we had been quite good this year but no - still several cheeses, packets of crisps, pates and boxes of essential snacking crap lurking in the cupboard and fridge - various bottles of mixers and soft drinks and beers - none of which we usually consume and ......... a slab of fruit cake with marzipan and icing on - which no bugger really will ever bother with

why would you buy things you don't like or want in the first place?

All we have thrown away is a little bit of leftover pate and half of a Christmas pudding I forgot was in the microwave. We shopped intelligently this year. I could have eaten more sprouts had we had them

We bought loads, more scary was the fact we managed to eat almost all of it. Never want to see a sausage roll again (well, for at least a week....)

No you weren't, I didn't either, car insurance payment and the bill for fixing the boiler screwed up buying the food I normally get let alone extra for Christmas! I just ate loads at my parents instead!

We don't buy any extras to be fair apart from a cheese board but we get gifted loads
