"In your old outlook goto the file Menu and perform an export, from there export to a CSV (comma separated value) and include all of your contacts too. On your new machine goto the file menu and import from CSV file, this will import all of your messages & contacts too! If you need any help on me! " Neither seem to offer me the option I'm afraid? I've got as far as getting them all archived on the new computer in MailStore, so at least I can access them easily. I did manage to get them imported into Thunderbird on the old computer but having trouble transferring file to new computer, the suggested process does not work. ![]()

" bloody 'appdata' does not appear in the directory listing under username and that's where the profile needs to be saved!! " It's a hidden folder. Use Windows search and type this to find it: %appdata%

" bloody 'appdata' does not appear in the directory listing under username and that's where the profile needs to be saved!! It's a hidden folder. Use Windows search and type this to find it: %appdata% " But that just pulls up files that have appdata in the location 'address', it does not make it appear in the route directory (like it did in dear old XP!!). Maybe I can search for the destination Thunderbird folder and bring it up that way hmmmm.....

"You need to show the classic tool bar so as to give you the import option, look on the right hand side next to the help question mark, click that and click show classic tool bar. You should then have the option to import the CSV file. ![]() That's what I am missing - that icon is not there!!!!!

"To show app data file go into my computer and then view, folder options, you need to make sure that 'show hidden filesize and folders' is ticked. " Ah yes, I was looking for that - I made it viewable, went to the file, pasted, watched as 328MB downloaded, opened thunderbird - no files to be seen, exactly the same as Windows live mail. I give up!! I'll have to get a another man in !! Any idea where I can change to 'classic theme' - can't find that either?
