Any sky tv experts?

Getting "no signal" dish seems fine as do wires.

Have tried adjusting dish angle but still no joy.

Grrrrr

Providing the local weather is good then it's usually a sign that the LMB on the dish has failed (very common). You'll need to give sky a call and have them send out an engineer.

It's one of the many reasons I left Sky and went to Virgin.

Agh doesnt sound good. Weather is fine. We weren't getting stuff on that we'd already recorded either but after adjusting the dish we've got that again.

Try turning off and un plugging for five mins and it should reset itself and work

Thanks for suggestions.

LNB holder is not rusted, dish is fairly new.

Have done the switch off for ten mins and card out without success.

Have checked wires to dish and box they are all fine.

Have spent half an hour moving dish around slowly to various angles without success.

Signal Strength in settings is showing as complete zero.

Possibly faulty lnb or psu in sky box. Ring sky

Silly question, but have you tried re setting the sky box? We've had to do this a no of times now and seems to do the trick.

Download the sky service app from the app store it has tips and advice on there, also it let's you call them from the app,

Guys.. Gonna ask what seems like a daft question, but there is a reason!

When you say 'no signal', can you tell me exactly what is says??

Ie, is it just 'no signal' or is it 'your sky box isn't getting a satellite signal'?

If you go into settings and drop to the next menu down move along to signal it'll show if the signal is being picked up

If you've been and moved the dish, it'll be extremely unlikely that you'll get it back correctly without using an appropriate piece of test kit. A quarter of an inch in any direction is enough to cause you to lose signal.

The 'No Satellite Signal is Being Received" error can be caused by Dish, LNB, I.F. Cable or Receiver failure - or an obstruction of the line of site from the dish to the satellite - that's the least likely cause though.

Without access to the appropriate signal strength / BER meter you'll be very unlikely to sort it yourself.
