£9 sounds positively slave wages to me. Time, overheads that include water and electricity and rent and you've had a service.

Damned good stuff! Because I work for their opticians I was given one to try it before it was launched. It's works in a similar way to the optrex brand but is cheaper. The best bit.......it has a two year shelf life after first use unlike drops which have to be discarded after a month.

That reminds me, I must get a new one as mine is close to expiry now

If that was the wage it wouldn't be. They have to factor in all that time when the shop is empty and they still have to pay the overheads. Cost and price aren't the same things. If they get one man an hour for 8 hours that's £72 for the whole day and half, or more, will be needed to pay the bills.

"I have the opposite my eyes water alot "

This may sound strange but if you go to the optician and tell them your eyes water a lot they will diagnose dry eye and recommend a drop or spray to treat it. All of these products are available over the counter. We have three opticians working here, two of them tend to recommend the boots brand drops or eye mist, the other usually says viscotears or hypermellose from the pharmacy.

One thing to look out for with dry eye is that it can make you more prone to developing blepharitis.

i miss the experience of having my hair done, its such a feel good thing, head massage, body massage (the chairs were heated and had roller things in as they rinsed/washed your hair) the conversation and interaction with the styling team to just waffle away any conversation.. the anticipation of what it will look like, the glam it up experience (cos i can never make my own hair look as good as they do when its freshly done)

but sadly food on my dinner table is a priority these days

If there is a training college near you use their hair saloon as they usually charge very small fees so the the trainees can be let loose on your hair. I used to use one in London. They are actually pretty good and there is a tutor on hand every step of the way and they inspect the cutting.

"went into Boots, got an own brand product.. £12.50 for 10ml of an eye mist

better be bloody good for that "

My Sleek foundation cost £6.99 and I thought that was expensive. My daughter asked me to pick up some Fashion Fair foundation for her: £25!!!

That was last September and I'm still

£8 for a haircut £2 tip tenner all up. I do this every couple of months or so. That's not expensive at all.

As for other products I probably spend a fiver a month on deodorant, shower and shaving gel. Razors are expensive but I probably only change it once every four months or so , so I only use three a year.

I'm very low maintenance me, but Christ knows how much Mrs P spends. I don't really want to know to be honest.

"Well I've just had an hair cut £9.00 wtf I renember paying £2.50. everything going up but my dam wages grrrrr rant

£9 sounds positively slave wages to me. Time, overheads that include water and electricity and rent and you've had a service.

average mans haircut around 15 minutes, £9 a time that's £36 an hour doesn't sound like slave wages to me

If that was the wage it wouldn't be. They have to factor in all that time when the shop is empty and they still have to pay the overheads. Cost and price aren't the same things. If they get one man an hour for 8 hours that's £72 for the whole day and half, or more, will be needed to pay the bills.

I do know how it works my friend owns a hairdressers

Well I hope your friend is better with arguments jokes aside, costs of some things these days are ridiculous - but you have to pay for quality, generally. it wasn't me that said the cost wasnt ridiculous it was lickety that said it was slave wages, I agree that its ridiculous it costs my mum £150 to have her hair done"

What does she get done?

though it can take around 3 hours, the expense of products used and the over heads.. guess it works out right

Yep, the blue one says use up to 2 years after opening so the website has it wrong...I picked up the pink one thinking they were the same but it has 90 days on that one , I am having a stupid day today I think

Saying that 90 days is better than a month
