I think that DFS do things the other way around to all the other stores.

In other words, the only time they're NOT having a sale is when all the others are

Loads of places started sales before Xmas this year, I did my next sale order the Monday before and sainsbury had tonnes of stuff half price at the beginning of last week.

Wow ! Is it one of those 'double discount' sales too - better get to the tip with my perfectly good suite and buy one from DFS before the sale finishes - I suppose it shows how gullible people are though i.e. if their methods didn't work, they wouldn't keep spending money on the adverts - unbelievable but true - the world really is full of thickos

I don't think that they do though, as we see sofas on their adverts "in the sale" that were the same price as a few years ago when we brought our sofas from there

It only has to be one store somewhere in the country for a set number of days. Someone earlier up the thread bought something "full price" (their temporarily inflated price).

I hope your sofa is still giving you comfort and joy.
