"40 years of low-fat dogma and yet we get fatter and fatter. You go ahead and eat sugar, I'll stick to saturated fat and stay slim. As a clever man recently said, "butter makes your pants fall off"." I was going to say the same thing, but I normally get chased with sticks when I tell people that fat is good and it's the sugar that kills you... Been having butter in my coffee every morning for 6 months and lost 2 stone! ![]()

"Share your favourite low fat recipes here for those wanting to shed a few pounds but don't want to live on salads ![]() Slimming for me is about minimising processed carbs, avoiding sugar and eating "real" food, not about low fat. I don't care all that much about fat when I'm slimming. In fact, low fat options often contain sugar, chemical flavourings, and other nasties that the full fat versions don't. I find when I'm eating low carb I automatically eat less and don't have to try to cut down.

"Share your favourite low fat recipes here for those wanting to shed a few pounds but don't want to live on salads ![]() Exactly. On a Low-carb I find myself not getting hungry until mid afternoon. Fat is far more satiating and you don't get that mid afternoon slump.
