Crete or LANCASTER

Just been watching last night's Jools Holland.

Joss Stone is just so sexy, love her being barefoot too.

And she can sing.

Great to see Wilco Johnson too after beating cancer having refused Chemotherapy!!

What a legend. I saw him on his (literally)farewell tour, the docs gave him 6months to live.

Happy new year all

Great to see wilco alive and well - goes to show there is more to it than just the relentless pushing of chemo on people.

Mental attitude and diet very very important

I watched it last night, was a good show. Bit of a pisser you had to choose between this and Queen (I dont have posh tv).

Loved Paloma doing 'River deep mountain high' was a great Tina Turner impression. Wasnt the best vocally but Im being harsh.

I havent googled but what was the story with Joss Stone a few years ago, she was the victim of a kidknapp plot wasnt she?

Wilco - famously played with Dr Feelgood,Ian Dury and the Blockheads(sex and drugs and rock and roll)Rodger Daltrey.Highly rated, influential guitar player, distinctive manic style.

His wife died of Cancer,as did Dury.So he was well placed to refuse Chemo, and take the consequences. He really is a legend. His response to being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer was to go on tour.Six months later, surprised at still being alive, did an album with Rodger Daltrey, went back on another tour.

Lots of people say this about her I don't know what bearing it has on her singing voice which I enjoy a lot.

Not quite as simple as that though, a surgeon who was also a fan, referred him to an oncologist he knew for a second opinion; he then had a tumour and a lot of internal organs removed before disappearing for six months to convalesce. His drummer is a friend of mine.

Thanks for the additional info - he did a wonderful interview on breakfast tv - when he thought he would die. He just totally accepted it - and the way he spoke about life in that moment will really say with me forever - great, great guy - and for once we get to have him alive for longer than we thought.

Are we talking looks or vocals?

I listened to an hour of Ellie this morning, she's a bit nasal.Super fit. Joss just looked so sensual.
