Yes it does, it has a control unit so you can adjust the current.

Just found this thread, reading with interest at work. Have been using and experimenting with various types of machines and attachments, pros and cons etcs for a good few years and learned much. As time is limited at the moment will try & cobble together something informative later possibly saving you a heap of money by NOT buying any of this stuff from sex shops and experiencing this amazing passtime in a safe and enjoyable way...watch this space. I have used a few as part of an estim system. The sensations achieved vary significantly depending on which toy and how the control box is set up. In general all estim control systems can generate a range of sensations. At lower power levels most people feel tingling sensations at higher power muscle spasms can be induced (this is how EMS toning systems such as Slendertone work) and eventually with a sufficiently powerful system it can become directly painful, which is why I am always careful on who has control of my system.

The first factor to consider is where the contact(s) are on the dildo or plug. It the plug only has one contact (monopole) a second contact will be needed elsewhere and the sensations achieved even more varied as depending on the size and placement of the second contact you may experience most of the sensations close to that.

Most of my estim plugs have two or more contacts on the plug and these I think are easier to explain. If the contacts run laterally down the entire length of the toy I find I experience most of the sensation in the outer sphincter. With the a bit of tuning of the settings I can usually set these up so that I get rhythmic pulsing of the sphincter driving the toy in what can be a delicious fucking motion.

I have other toys with contact just around the tip and this causes direct stimulation of the prostate. With this I feel buzzing sensation much more reminiscent of a vibrator being held against it.

My favourite configuration uses a DIY modified prostate massager. This has two electrodes running down the sides so that the sphincter is stimulated but also has a large contact on the prostate. When coupled with a penile base ring or even better a estim sound this can be set up to give both and intense buzzing in the prostate coupled with the simulated fucking from the contraction of the sphincter (which also causes mechanical stimulation of prostate).

I should also add that with estim the general safety advice is to keep all contacts below the waist to avoid any risk of sending pulses anywhere near your heart. And if your contemplating playing with estim there is a wonderful forum which can be found by doing a search for SmartStim. This is essentially a user driven site and has a wealth of information on everything from DIY systems, commercial devices and how the members are using them.
