Is fruit cider really cider? Surely cider has to be made from apples only.

Am I being stupid or aren't all ciders made from fruit or aren't apples counted as fruit any more?- Oh and whilst I'm on the subject pear cider isn't cider it's Perry- pear cider is just a rebranding excercise by the brewers

Sounds wrong but the Carling range isn't too bad particularly the cherry flavour.

Some pear ciders are actually that; cider made with apples flavoured with pear. True perry is made the same way as cider but from pears instead of apples. I like a Belgian fruit beer but the idea of a fruit flavoured cider makes my little West Country heart shudder to its apple-y core...

My son gave me a glass of something purplish he was calling cider. I found it most acceptable and wouldn't mind another....

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Tried a Koppenbarg once and I had terrible stomach cramp afterwards. I`m sticking to my Westons Old Rosie (7%) and if I want other fruit I`ll stick some blackcurrant cordial in it like my lady friend does!

I like this one.

Also a fan of kopparberg pear and magners pear isn't too bad. Bulmers pear is horrible though IMO. Very vinegary!
