If your going to meet a person in a hotel for a meet.

Would you stay overnight or few hours ?

I would consider staying the night if the person travelled along distance to get there.

What would you do ?

I never stayed overnight.

Couldn't stand the thought of trying to sleep next to a stranger !!

I like my own bed sooooooo much

Good info all.

I was chatting to a lady as soon I said just for few hours meet and not overnight - said she had to travel from london and stay the night also no longer wanted to meet now also blocked me.

Was she expecting me to pay for the hotel or something?

I'd never stay the night as I like to be home for my kids even if they are old enough to mostly fend for themselves ....it would take someone special for me to stay out all night

Maybe she was hoping for more than 2 hours of fun, especially coming from so far, doubt anyone would travel far for a couple of hrs. Spend more time travelling.

Why? If you book a hotel room why would they care if you stayed a few hours or all night?

I was travelling a distance I'd want to stay the night too. I'd always go halves on a hotel if it was booked specifically for a meet though.

I personally think the reason was because she is travelling from the London to Birmingham and a few hours of fun compared to a night of fun is a big difference and a deal breaker for some especially those who are travelling far I wouldn't travel that far for a few hours of fun but a whole night of fun now that's a different story

i always book my own room so there is no obligation to go ahead with anything,, also for safety reasons i could have some kinda fall back if something went wrong (they could kick him out etc)

been very lucky though, as a general rule i dont like to share a room over night. i like my own space

im quite cold.. do what i do n leave. There are exceptions if we get on or its a 2nd/3rd meet and we are happy to share

For fire regulations plus if the room was booked as a single occupancy they would want double rates to be paid. So if you get an adjustment to your card payment, don't be surprised.

Catthorpe

We only meet in hotels and we never stay the night with the person. If we're travelling a long distance we stay close enough for them to easily travel to us and we'll invite them to our hotel room. If they travel to us we will visit them there and leave after about 3/4 hours tops. There really isn't any need for us to stay overnight with a meet, this is always discussed prior.

I don't think I would have a day time meet in a hotel, So I would have a evening meet and I would stay the night even if the Woman didn't stay,

Oh and I want a breakfast in the morning
