Not you...

Christmas is a hateful time of year, people attack others in bars because they are out to have a good time. Motorists run others off the road because they want to get home 'for Christmas' and feel others are deliberately getting in their way, shoppers in supermarkets bash their trolleys into others for the same reason and loose their tempers when others refuse to let them jump the checkout queues...

And of course there is the final kick in the teeth that anyone can deliver to his or her fellow man or woman, it is the perfect time for the mean and vicious to break up with their partners, guaranteed never to be forgotten!

And this is supposed to be the season of joy, peace and good will...

I hate it!

You can do something about the self centred visciousness. Give to others.

If you have been hurt by being dumped, then I can understand this time of year.

But accidents happen. The timing might suck but they happen. Try not to worry about the things beyond your control.

Somebody jumps the queue in the shops? Let them.

If someone is getting angry, walk away. People getting d*unk in pubs is not the fault of Christmas.

Do some charity work. Do whatever. By all means do not buy in to the commercialism, buy into the spirit of giving.

Thankless task? For sure. But if you are giving to recieve, you are starting in the wrong place.

People have fights in vars no matter the time of year. People rin out in front of cars no matter the time of year.

Bad news stories happen all year round bit we are more tuned into loss and suffering at a time when we should be celebrating being together etc.

This time of year is no worse than any other.
