I bought a pair of flat (i know, I know!) shoes for work at the weekend. I wore them Monday and they have rubbed the back if my heels so bad that I can't wear them again yet....going to get a hammer on them over Christmas.

Now the trouble is finding shoes I can wear instead. I wore boots yesterday but they still rubbed....do you think my boss would mind if I went in wearing my slippers?

Can't see why your boss would mind, just wear what's comfortable for you

Wear whatever is comfortable, nothing worse than back of your heels being sore. Can you put really big fluffy socks on under boots?

You ladies ever consider buying shoes that actually fit? (Mr.G.)

they do, but like most shoes you have to 'break them in'

Only the ones that don't fit properly

Birmingham

Get some wet newspaper. Scrunch it up and pack the shoes tight with it. Leave them until newspaper is dry. Stretches them a little and softens the material.

Lots of shoes are fine in the shop. It's only after wearing them a few hours that they rub.
