P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

I did one once several yrs ago. Sticking it in the oven for a few hours seemed to be quite a successful method

It was too big for the microwave

Glad we have fan ovens and microwaves now. I watched "worst jobs in history" on telly the other week, one of the worst jobs was spit boy/girl whose job it was to sit by a very hot open fire for hours on end turning the meat of the day on a spit, lol. Not sure its a worst job, boring but at least you'd be indoors warm and dry and you could tell your mates down the pub you spitroasted a bird all day.

A seaside town near you!

We took a vote and this year we're not having turkey! Couldn't decide what to have so there's chicken, pork, beef, gammon and lamb going in the oven!! How many ways can I cook that lot???

What, no duck? In the words of Basil Fawlty "if you don't like duck, you're rather stuck".

7 ways? Crikey. I only know one way and that's to stick it in the over for a few hours and bingo, roast turkey

Carp this year, can't decide to fill it with lemon, butter, almonds and bay leaf or fry it in batter.
