What are your favourite traditions, if any, that have been passed down your generations or new traditions that you hope your kids pass down.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

We go out for a family lunch on Christmas Eve and that marks the start of none of us working for the Christmas period.

Christmas Eve we go on a walk to see if we can spot Santa in the sky. Well they do, I am at home shaking the sleigh bells so that they echo through the park.

Southampton

I have two daughters, they choose to have Xmas eve and morning with me because of our traditions, bake and decorate cookies for Santa and mrs Claus, milk for Santa, carrot for Rudolph, (they leave post it notes so Santa knows what's what!!), put the key outside for Santa, sprinkle magic dust outside and make a wish, hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream, in the morning they hoover up santa's footprints that lead from the front door to their prezzies, then to the back door, whilst I moan about the mess he's left!!
