What would he do if he sang out of tune?

He would get by with a little help from his friends.

We have Fab friends who live local to us, and Mr is a Joe Cocker tribute artist.

Wonder if he'll pack it in now?

Not for me - I loathe what are now called tribute acts.

It's a fine line between that and doing covers as an homage, the main difference being that one is not attempting to imitate, but rather to emulate

Sorry for Xfactor reference.

"Love lift us up where we belong

Far from the world we know,

up where the clear winds blow"

Well I hope his God lifted him up where he belongs. One less star over Sheffield.

Very few singers win a Grammy, an Oscar (for his duet with Jennifer Warnes for 'Up Where We Belong'), record 40 albums and are awarded an OBE for services to music. He was and did.

Mr John Cocker OBE. Rest in Peace.
