Got a Toshiba,, not being a techy are tosh laptops any good folks?

If they have what you require then yes. As to hardware problems you might want to find a dedicated website to find that out. My son bought a new laptop,looked perfect for him,got it home to find it had no cd/dvd drive. What computer nowadays has no disc drives??

A lot more than you would think, it helps keep the size down and with progessively higher capacity USB pen drives or USB disk drives, CD/DCVD drives are no longer the essential they once were. Also if really needed then USB CD\DVD drives are prety darn cheap.
