I think though with him because he is so in the public eye and footballers have a rep for being a certain way re.nights out ect there are arguments that A. He would be and was in a position of influence to younger males and is therefore following this no longer a suitable representative or role model to the sport, and b. A potenting liability to a club should they sign him.

Putting aside my personal opinion these would be the most pertinent arguments in this case, and for me the position of responsibility footballers arguably have towards setting and making positive choices is one that shouldnt be lightly ignored.

Finally, but in no means last, others would argue he has been able to continue with less consequences than his victim who surely it seems is now suffering again,watching her attacker being able to pick up (by all means disputed) threads of his old lifestyle.

There have been other sportsmen that have committed crimes and have (after servingj their sentences)continued their careers.
