Morrison and Lennon were great writers and singers but not showmen.

There was no theatre, no spectacle, no riding a 10ft inflatable microphone over the audience, no midget strippers and probably no fire either..... That's what a showman does, he gives the audience a show!!

For me it has to be a toss up between Elton John and Freddie Mercury.

Saw Queen over 30 times.....very difficult to find anyone who could outdo The Mercurial One. Stole Live Aid. Always interacted brilliantly with the audience.

The only performers coming close were Bono

or the Gallagher boy.....great entertainment but not as close imho

Some homework required on Freddie ! He may have his away towards the end as the press speculated and hounded him but look into his birthday parties come hedonistic get together and it shows most on here in comparison to be nuns.

As for Bruce......have you ever had the experience of flying heavy metal ? I have. Flown from light aircraft to tornado gr1 to Lockheed TriStar and victor. Its more rock and roll than the hum drum jobs most have on here. He has the chance to fly what most pilots can only dream of due to his success and personal ability.

Both are still the ultimate to me
