About to get my haircut! Has anyone been foul to the over adventurous hairdresser? What happened and what did you do?

I had some mental hair cuts as a teenager, from really short to having a rat tail. Makes me cringe a bit to think of now.

Im going bald quickly up top. Had my hair cut today, 0.5 on the sides, as short as you can with scissors on the top.

I think If I put a bit of holly on my patch I would look like a christmas pudding

Herts

I used to have hair down to my thighs when I was little.

My mum took me to the hairdressers and asked for it to be cut to shoulder-length and I ended up with some botched bob that was longer (and wonky) at the front and so short at the back it was above my hair line.

Needless to say, they didn't get paid for it and my Mum went ballistic.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I just think it will grow back so it doesn't bother me if it's a bad cut. I try not to leave until I am reasonably happy with the cut. I often just tell them to do what they want.

There is photographic evidence of my dad's foray into home hairdressing when I was a child

Even they would have laughed at my hair

My mother once cut my hair, I have a pic somewhere, it was terrible. But luckily I have had the same hairdresser for years and I trust her, so not in adult life have I had a bad haircut, although I do look back and question my fashion sense .

Haircut. What's a haircut? I think it's about 20 years since I had what most people call a haircut

Last time I went to the hairdressers it was to have my hair cut into a Mohecan and dyed bright blue, that was just before it all fell out. these days I just ride the bike with my hair free and let the wind snap the ends off, keeps it just below shoulder level and I never have to visit the hairdresser

When she was little, my cousin had her hair cut by her mum's friend. The woman put a bowl on her head and cut round it! My cousin was not happy!!

A friend of ours was cutting Mrs JFL's hair for a fashion show that she was modeling in and he was the hairdresser for. He decided to thin her fringe a little with thinning scissors, unfortunately he was doing three other haircuts at the same time and didn't have thinning scissors in his hands...the air turned a little blue!

My mother cut mine she thought it was an adorable bob!

Erm... It was friggin hideous and my fringe when round from ear to bloody ear!! Wtf.

In my rebel days it was blue.. And crimped ... I thought it was way cool, as where my monkey boots

Infancy yeah it was pretty cool, I never grew out of the freaky hair colour stage.

Once when I was about 20 I ended up with my hair cut short, permed and then the demon hairdresser died it pillar box red! I looked like a clown. I remember my sisters look of horror when I got home! I wore a hat for weeks after!
