Swinging - how does it work for singles

The couples version of this topic has been popping back up to the top for 18 weeks now.

So I figured I would turn it on it's head and ask about singles...

Does it become harder to distinguish between a swinging meet and a vanilla date? Do you shock one night stands by being too open and ready to explore the edges of their sexual desires?

What happens if you start to feel emotional connections to other swingers? do you get jealous of them when meeting in clubs etc. After all at least as a couple you hopefully talk about your feelings openly and resolve any issues that may arise before your next night out.

Purely rhetorical as I am not single, and we don't have issues when playing as a couple, so topic is opened for the belly button examiners amongst you.

I don't do regular meets as i find it stops anyone getting to close, I met a guy once on a regular basis and he told me he loved me

I guess that is one of the problems, couples leave with each other, singles leave alone.

I agree with this.

Only joined this site as someone asked me to, which was fair enough because the site i was using was free for women but men had to pay to contact anyone and he didn't want to pay but wanted to keep in contact.

Never been into swinging, am quite traditional when it comes to relationships (apart from the occasional mfm with partners), but when it comes to sex i'm more open and free. Met loads of single guys on here (and probably some i'm not aware aren't single) but it suits me. And there's a forums here, so this site is quite unique in that it also gives somewhere to socialise, as well as a place to hook up.

I'm not jealous of couples, don't think i'd ever get emotionally attached to someone already taken but you never know coz i do have feelings for people on here i've met and talk to a lot, and almost fallen in love with one person despite not even looking for anything like that right now. You just don't know, or even understand, how your emotions will pan out. Suppose it's risky really?

We're all just different as you soon realise as you get to know others. My needs change. I'm single atm and no strings works whether occasional or regular. I do my own thing regardless of rules that some others may make and think a lot of us forge our style of swinging as we go.

I don't see myself as a swinger, I just meet up with single men now and again for sex. I don't date and have no wish to do so at the moment.

I've met a few men several times over the years but I've never felt any emotional connection other that being friends and that has worked well for me

I wouldn't do a non swinging relationship any more within the parameters of my current relationship.
