"My BFF at the time was a tattooist so I let him practice on me. I do wish I didn't most of them but I don't care enough to get them removed. Plus I have a couple of Topor drawings which are pretty cool. " What is that one on your leg...an aeroplane ?

"I have seen a lot done in black and white and shading in grays do like. Is there fashion with Tattoos .. Do the colors fade easy or take years too.?" Personally I think colour tattoos are awful and have yet to see a colour tattoo I like, the studio I go to for mine won't touch colour, they only use black & grey

"Do you find like me your looking at others art work on there body if on the beach or some place where they have there clothes off I do it at chams club too .. am I weird . I was laying in the sun last month in Mexico and new people from their tattoos not there faces tell you I see some of the best I have seen in my life there .. a lot from the USA was there ." See my post above (which seems to have been ignored). Of course they're intriguing to look at, and it isn't weird at all. As for the person saying colour tattoos are no good - with respect that's complete rubbish. I have loads of colour, done by some of the best tattooers around the world and so do many of my friends which are all incredible pieces of art. To say black & white are the only tattoos worth having, is simply incorrect and untrue.

"[Removed by poster at 18/12/14 13:16:34]" You mentioned a studio that will only do black & white - so a bit more than just a opinion! There are millions of people out there with colour tattoos and you've never seen one you like? Not one!?

She raises a good point in my opinion. Not that it matters and this isn't a competition, but there IS more skill in using colour, blending colour, creating more difficult, detailed pieces quite often when using colour as opposed to just black. Having said that, there are also some extremely complex black ones out there as well so skill level is a moot point - detail and blending using colour is a slightly different skill to just using black though.

You can just buy pieces that they've done. Try going to a tattoo convention, or do some Internet research. There are plenty of people out there who can provide you with 'flash' or actual art to buy.

I can appreciate the piece but colour just doesn't float my boat whatsoever

I understand not liking them though - each to their own

"Only two of mine have sentiment behind them. I have a butterfly on my foot, in memory of the babies I lost. The other one with sentiment is on my wrist. It is a butterfly, a bee and a flower. I had it done when my fiancé and I had been together a few months. He calls me his butterfly and I call him honey bee. The flower represents our future together. Ok, I'll hand the sick buckets round now " i like that Sx

" all down to the artists choice and own style, the shop is based in the centre of one of the uk's biggest cities where the rent will be sky high, and it's always booked up. They must be doing something right even if a huge % of the market is alienated.
