Women who like skinny guys

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

I'm coming across more profiles from ladies asking for such guys on here, in the real world too, and these slender fellas typically seem to be more popular amongst younger women.

Obviously people are allowed to be attracted to whom they like, but for ladies who like such males, I'm curious as to what the appeal is?

same as skinny fit clothing, just seems to be "in" at the min

but muscles are making a big come back. lean muscle anyway

ive seen it onhere that a ton of people seem to only slot you into 2 categories. fat or skinny

alot seem to forget there are builds in-between

I use the word 'skinny' as that's typically the word used to describe them by the ladies who like them, at least as many times as I've heard them say it, and the 'ladies who like such males' was simply a point of reference.

Hope that clears it up.

You can have muscles, toned & still be 'skinny'...a certain young man fits that bill very well ~ a look I like a lot especially in well fitting slim fit jeans...

Having said that, overall it's about the person inside x

"You can have muscles, toned & still be 'skinny'"

I would define the small but muscled look as 'athletic', 'skinny', at least as I hear it, would be someone of a small build with little fat or muscle.

That wasn't the intention, and I chose my words in a specific attempt to ask the question in an objective fashion.

Yeah I suppose so, it could fall into 2 categories:-

You could have skinny athletic with the defined muscle tone & then maybe the skinny model look kind of straight up / straight down.

Trouble is, the gym muscled guys with chicken legs look somewhat funny, don't you think? My gym has loads of lads who'll sweat for hours a week working their tops but do little down below. Enough of the others who work out in a better way, having good cardio and a balanced physique.

'Skinny' guys can look great, overall I prefer a mix of guys, skinny to very big and fit.

Have a look at footballers or athletes from the 60s&70s, or even just the people in general.

I prefer the term "slim athletic" myself as that's what I class myself as.

The appeal, I dunno. I tend to think it's more about personality than anything else.

People already have too many body issues, too fat, too hairy, not hairy enough, too tall, too short, crooked teeth and now apparently slim & healthy (not to be confused with those who suffer eating disorders because society has deemed them fat) is a bad thing.

Gimme strength.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

Used to like bigger guys, especially the body builder type.

Lately, however, I have been more attracted to slimmer guys and changed my profile accordingly.

No idea why - it's just what I'm attracted to.

Many guys prefer slimmer women. If I see that on a profile I don't bother messaging or winking. I'd expect the same courtesy from guys looking at my profile. Not messages like 'I know you prefer slimmer guys but ...'

BMI says you are obese at that weight and height. But BMI is inherently flawed. BMI only really means anything when it is paired with a Body Fat Percentage

As I am an older woman I like a guy who is comfortable in his body. When I was younger preferred the leaner look with tattoos. Now average to athletic types are more to my liking. Muscles are good as well.

.

I thought it was just mass you paired bmi with?.

Anyhow at 6ft 14 stone whether it's muscle or fat your considered obese by your gp.

And on another note, remember your joints don't know whether it's fat or muscle they just carry the load, extra weight is just going to wear them out faster.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I love skinny guys, the thinner the better. I just think they look good, and they can get between my legs a lot easier.

Body type, like colour and age, is a personal preference. I won't diss heavier built men just because I prefer the thinner guy.

This might provoke a negative response but fuck it, if I was female the muscle bound look wouldn't be for me either.

Thin and athletic shows you care about your appearance, the he-man look just makes me think that is someone who is way too into their body. It absoloutely won't be the same with everyone but the few people I've known that put that much time in at the gym are to be honest fairly dull to be around.

My fiancé is a skinny man, still finds it hard to believe when I call him sexy. He's 6'4 and only weighs 11 stone so is considered to have a bmi which is underweight. No matter what he does, he cannot gain weight (don't ya just hate people like that!)

This is probably going to sound hypocritical coming from a fatty like me, but I just don't find overweight men attractive.

But, more than anything, the outer package is not the important part. I love my fiancé for the wonderful man he is inside

It amazes me the number of people who shout " self obsessed "

My observation would be most of us are in one way or another

And

That's not such a bad thing as self is the one thing you will have to live with our whole lives

I'd also suggest we cannot look after another properly unless we firstly take care of ourselves

We really need to get the body type descriptions updated.

Very wimpy

Bit wimpy

Pretty geeky

Chunky with hairy manboobs

Like a brick shithouse

I disagree actually, I've noticed the trend (in general, not just on here) is away from 'skinny' men and towards muscular, big guys (all that "bro, do you even lift" stuff)

Personally I don't have a strict preference....prefer them not to be at either extreme but otherwise big, skinny, muscly, lean, a bit well-padded, if I fancy the guy then it's all good.

I agree with anna999. The modern trend is all focused on muscle ...look at all the men's fitness magazines, with articles on packing on muscle in 28 days etc etc.

It's a shame that after the fight women have endured over the years about accepting their bodies and that all shapes are beautiful, that we see a trend towards men feeling they have to fit a niche to be attractive.

We're all born differently and whilst I believe in looking after oneself that doesn't mean you have to be vain or fit an ideal of others. Passing judgement on others bodies can cause profound psychological problems for them.

If you look at young men's fashion at the moment, and the models used, then very slim men seem to be 'en vogue'.

Topman, River Island etc use slim men to advertise their clothing which consists of spray on jeans, slim cut shirts etc. Typically these styles are more suited to the smaller frame, and images of men like this will become popular.

As this is youthful, a lot of rock bands are very skinny etc, then some people are attracted to 'such males'.

My youngest son is skinny, he's a 28 waist and has sparrow sized legs. Slim jeans are just too baggy on him.

He buys a lot of his clothes from Drop Dead, the clothes fit and he likes Bring me the horizon. He's mid size in this shop, the jeans sizes start at 24 or 25 inch waist, now that's skinny

Seriously?

I've never been told anything negative for being slim and fit "

You've never heard how slim people are referred to on the forum?? "skinny minnies" "I'd rather have a real woman" bag of bones etc etc etc??

For the size zero generation of ladies, yes. For men, no.

"I would find it disturbing if guys were into the prepubescent look in a female and the same goes for people who like that look in a guy its disturbing"

Being thinner than average does not equal looking prepubescent.

I'm surprised - I thought it was just women who insulted other women who weren't average sized.

If someone's healthy, that's far more appealing I'd guess. I think if you look what are average weights these days guys who are even athletic would be deemed skinny.

It's all relative to taste anyway, no point worrying if you're not skinny.

"This might provoke a negative response but fuck it, if I was female the muscle bound look wouldn't be for me either.

Thin and athletic shows you care about your appearance, the he-man look just makes me think that is someone who is way too into their body. It absoloutely won't be the same with everyone but the few people I've known that put that much time in at the gym are to be honest fairly dull to be around."

Thats complete nonsense mate, funny though its always thin guys who say it My man is 16 stone and well muscled, he is neither self absorbed nor dull.

I'd say slim rather than skinny? The latter implies looking unhealthy/underweight

As a slim guy myself you would be surprised how socially acceptable it is to make fun of thin people, whereas if you said something rude about a fat person in the workplace you'd probably get sacked!

So nice to hear some positive comments "

Maybe they are a little bit jealous.
