Clothes from New Look or wherever she likes , Superdry is popular here but stupidly expensive !

Onesie.

Nail varnish, lip balm.

DVD , I tunes voucher, hair accessories.

Books - Waterstones are really good at recommending and depends what she likes - The Hunger Games trilogy is a good choice IMO.

Ear rings if her ears are pierced.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Lego, telescope, train set, football and team shirt, iTunes card (if appropriate), chemistry set (are they still allowed?), drone helicopter (all the rage this year, but mind the airlanes), etc etc

Something she can use to talk to her friends on incessantly. Something to listen to music on or download vouchers. Shoes or trainers

just get her something you can do together. I bought her a robotic arm to build last year and she loved it because we spend the whole day putting it together and getting it working. It doesn't matter that it was more geared towards boys. Unless you want your nails painted instead

Shooting is the best, as long as people are trained properly. I love crossbows.

Southampton

I have 10 and 12 year old daughters, They have written wish lists for their clueless Dad. Iona's suggestions are almost word for word. New look clothes or vouchers, khaki parkas are all the rage this year! Lip balm, make up, jewellery, hair stuff, clips, colour crayons, things to make braids and buns, (look in Claire's). CD, Now89, DVD, frozen or Maleficient. Board games. Buy some cake mixes and bake with them, take them clothes shopping yourself.

Thanks folks you've been very helpful... I'd finally gotten the girls to write me their wish lists (eldest bought and sorted,) the youngest s list just had presents listed for everyone else nothing for her that's her nature. I thought I'd be able to figure something out (how wrong was i) so your assistance is very much appreciated

think girls are easier to buy for - my girlie was anyway - my lad was so into books that for his 13th birthday he got 13 books and it could have been more
