My ex hubby and I take it in turns, this year I have them for Christmas, he has them for new year, next year it's the other way round, it works well for us and our children

Me and my ex still get on really well and we're both single so this year we're having Christmas all together. We were still stuck living together last Christmas so at least this year we won't want to kill each other!

No, but he's forces so it can be tricky, we aim for every other weekend with him, and a week or whatever he can manage over summer, anything else is a bonus

My ex and I, and Emily and her ex both split xmas eve, xmas day and boxing day straight down the middle regardless of whose time it is with the kids either side of those days. Kids come to the other parent after lunch xmas day and we alternate each year which way around we do it. Unfortunately as my kids live 80 miles away that means I always have to either leave Emily xmas day to go to them or not be with her xmas eve and xmas morning

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

We alternated until she was old enough to ask what her preference was. Now I visit her.

We've always remained amicable so I guess I've been lucky - mine has been with me for most of every Christmas Day. When he was younger, his dad would come over in the morning to see him open his presents etc, then he'd go to his dad's in the evening to sleep over.
