Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I love this time of the year for the chance to buy lots of party food selections but I am disappointed this year.

What's with all the pork belly?

The only thing taking my fancy is the thing you can get all year, the tasty wrapped prawn. I haven't even seen any honey and mustard cocktail sausages.

What's your favourite party food?

this is our once a year pig out since its just been me and the kids - xmas eve with all the party food you can eat - love the goats cheese and cranberry filo parcels-lots of spring rolls and things to dip - no theme - a bit of indian, some chinese, good old cheese, meats, crackers, salad and pickles - crisps - just way too much of it but it has to be done - and all before pressies at midnight - start to eat about 10 pm - still grazing hours later

But you can grow them.

I like the things I can stick in the freezer and then I can have a mini feast with a one bit of everything every once in a while.

Party food for me isn't usually picky bits. My family make quiches,new potatoes in butter with chives and spring onion. Different rices and salad with sliced meats and warm bread rolls. Christmas time it's left over turkey,lamb and ham. I don't like pastry based party snacks

Cheese!!! I'm not a fan of pasrt stuff. I'd rather have crust bread and pate, cheese, pickles etc

Anything. My favourite nibble buffet things are those involving cheese (all sorts), filo pastry, shrimp/prawn, celery and houmous. But I also love a bhaji, samosa, spring roll or good jerk chicken. God, now I have the munchies!
