little house on the praire

A picture that's over 100 years. A nursing chair that's at least 150 years old and was always passed to the first of the next generation to have a baby. A crocodile/alligator ivory letter opener not sure of age. My uncles army uniform, medals ect but there going to the museum and at my mums I've got quite a few silver snuff boxes

She was my Grandads second wife and I was the only girl born whilst they were married - all the other girls had his first wife as their Grandma, if that makes sense

Makes perfect sense and it's lovely that you have her wedding ring!

I was the oldest grandchild but she was my only grandparent ever and was very special to me. She was 95 when she died six years ago.

I have a chest of drawers that were my great grandmothers.

They're like a tardis. You can fit all sorts in them.

A dealer offered several hundred for them, so I am guessing they would retail for far more.

I forgot about the rings.

Not very old and only just becoming an heirloom as I will hold it for a potential great niece one day - my mother's wedding ring which I now wear as she can't anymore.

I have an aunt's engagement ring that she gave to me when I was 13. I lost the diamond in a book shop 15 years ago and the diamond that replaced it isn't as good. I wore that every day from the age of 13 until I started wearing my mother's wedding ring this summer.
