used to drive up onto the moors to get a much better un cluttered with light pollution view but to many of the parking places are full of doggers so that a no no now

Which area of the sky do I need to be watching? Am assuming a look towards Polaris will still give the best view?

I was told to look away from the moon and up. If you look at the moon it will obscure the view.

I was told to look away from the moon and up. If you look at the moon it will obscure the view.

That would be worth it but as I'm feeling too poorly to even go across the road I doubt I'm going to head north for tonight. I might plan it for the Perseids.

That would be worth it but as I'm feeling too poorly to even go across the road I doubt I'm going to head north for tonight. I might plan it for the Perseids.

Google the Kielder Observatory went in January not suure if it was £10 or £20 each but it is well worth it was a very good night
