Best place to meet someone

I'd say that's I've pretty much failed to make a success of being on this site. Had a few chats with some decent people but not been able to take it to the next level.

I'm thinking I'd rather meet someone hoping for it to lead to something serious, but have a boring job with no interest in meeting anyone there and I'm all but drawing a blank as I get older. Anyone got any good advice on where to meet someone genuine in this day and age

East Sussex

Join things. Volunteer for stuff, go to evening classes, get involved in groups widen your circle of friends and acquaintances as far as possible, go on dates, talk to people you wouldn't normally talk to.....you never know where any encounter will lead.

Good luck!

here and there, thereabouts

Sod trying to meet someone. Go and do the things your want to do, be happy. If you like train spotting, go spot. If you like rock climbing, go climb. Do the things you like. You'll be happy and the person you want might just found you then

Well said! The more you look for it, the less chance you'll find it. When you aren't looking for it, all the surprises come at once.

Good luck.

Go out and do something that you want to do, or give yourself more rewards through doing things like volunteering, you'll meet more people, or study, whatever you can do to move into a happier place.

a straightjacket

Get a job as a supermarket check out thingy....then not only can you meet lots of people, but you can also see what sort of stuff they slip into their fridge and cupboards

Central

If you have a narrow focus then consider widening it. Pursuing interests and volunteering as others state is spot on. Explore, investigate and help.

If you want to swing do it properly. The net is not the full thing. Derbyshire is fantastic for access to the midlands and nor the so loads of clubs and groups.

Put public photos in your profile so you become more approachable.
